As the hub of all communications for Asbury First United Methodist Chruch, I was responsible for envisioning, developing, and enhancing the communication programs to improve brand awareness, brand recall, and audience engagement. I created and aligned all communication efforts to support the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the church and strategically plan annual communications.
Special Series: Black History Month
Over the last few years, the church has pushed to focus on racial equity and the members are working to educate themselves on systemic issues facing persons of color. The themes for Black History Month reflected this work and turned the focus further on the local, Rochester Black history. The bulletin covers of the "Close to Home" series featured local Black artists to highlight some of the incredible work by BPOC in our area.
Group Sub-Branding
I created identity branding for several of the groups within the membership of the church. I worked with one particular group, Courage to Become, to design a tree logo that would embody growth, femininity, and empowerment.
Video Presentation Graphics
During the pandemic, Asbury First invested in the livestream capabilities, which included the addition of pre- and post-service ads and watermark logo graphics.
